The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) provides social grants to eligible citizens.
To receive your SASSA grants directly into your bank account, you need to link your bank account with SASSA.
Transfer SASSA funds to Capitec
To link your Capitec account with SASSA, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open The Capitec Website
Open any browser on your device and search for the Capitec Bank official website.
Step 2: Navigate to The “Create an Account” Option
After you have opened the app or the official website, scroll down and click on the option “Create an Account.”
This will take you to a new page where you need to fill out certain details.
Step 3: Provide Personal Details and Select the SASSA Account
Next, provide your personal information, such as your full name, authentic South African phone number, South African Identity card, and your email address.
Step 4: Provide Your SASSA Card Number and Grant Type
Then provide your SASSA card number in the input box and select the grant type for which you are receiving payments.
Transferring Money from SASSA to Capitec
To transfer money from your SASSA card to your Capitec Bank account, follow these steps:
Step 1: Obtain an SASSA Annexure C Form
Visit any SASSA office near your location and ask for an SASSA Annexure C form, which you must fill out if you wish to receive funds to your personal Capitec Bank account or any other bank account.
Step 2: Take the Form to the Capitec Bank Branch
Take this form to the Capitec Bank branch near your area for completion and stamping.
Step 3: Submit the Form to SASSA
After you have successfully obtained the Bank stamp on the form, you are required to submit it to the SASSA office along with your Bank statement.
Step 4: Receive Your Grant
After completing all the verifications, SASSA will directly pay your grant into the personal Capitec Bank account that you have registered with SASSA.
