Understanding NSFAS Status for Funded Students

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a government-funded organization that provides financial assistance to students in South Africa.

To cater to the diverse needs of students, NSFAS has established an application process that allows students to submit their applications for funding.

Understanding NSFAS Status for Funded Students

Provisionally Funded

When your NSFAS application status shows “Provisionally Funded,” it means that your application has passed all evaluation stages and you are funded provided you register at a TVET college or public university and there is availability of funds.

Funded

Once NSFAS has received confirmation of registration from your institution, your status will change to “Funded” and you will thereafter receive your allowances during the next payment run.
