The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) has confirmed the payment date for the first National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) allowance for 2025.
When to Expect Payments
UKZN students can expect their NSFAS allowance payments to begin on Thursday, February 6, 2025. The university will disburse Cycle 1 allowances based on the 2024 allowance amounts.
Important Notes for Students
- There may be delays in allowance payments due to program changes in the allowance system.
- Students must submit their bank details for NSFAS allowances, and payments can only be made to bank accounts in the student’s name.
- All payments for private accommodation will be made by NSFAS and paid directly to landlords.
NSFAS Allowance Amounts for 2025
UKZN has not yet received confirmation from NSFAS regarding the 2025 allowance amounts. However, the university will continue to distribute NSFAS allowances to students on NSFAS’ behalf.
